Our Story

About

A proud Albertan, Travis Abeyta is a CWB certified structural welder by trade and has been involved in building and custom fabrication projects all over Alberta and British Columbia for many years. As an avid outdoorsman with a deep-rooted passion for hunting and angling, he is raising his family in central Alberta to be very connected to the great outdoors alongside his wife, Megan. As someone who is always seeking out a challenge and always adapting new skillsets, Travis has been a proud member of the American Bladesmith Society since 2021. Travis prides himself on his craftsmanship not only in welding and fabrication, but it also reflects in his fit and finish on his custom knives.

Mission

Our mission is to redefine the standard for professional leather tools and custom blades by merging a fabricator's precision with artisanal craftsmanship as a Canadian maker.

Born from a necessity for high-quality tools that truly perform, we are dedicated to equipping leather artisans and outdoorsmen with functional art.

Every piece we craft is a rugged testament to Alberta’s hardworking heritage, designed to empower the maker and explorers alike and to stand the test of time.

Vision

Rooted in the rugged heritage of Alberta, we envision Abeyta Bladeworx as Canada’s premier authority in custom knives and tools.

Our vision is to set a national standard for technical excellence by merging industrial-grade precision with the timeless art of the forge. We are committed to an uncompromising level of craftsmanship, ensuring every tool from the artisan’s bench to the mountain pass stands as a piece of functional art.

By forging a legacy of rugged reliability, we aim to provide the explorers and makers who shape our country with cherished heirlooms that carry the spirit of Canadian craftsmanship from one generation to the next.
